Oakdale Joint Unified School District's schools enrolled 5,220 students in the 2022-23 school year, 0.7% less than the previous year, according to the California Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.8% of them were boys, and 49.1% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, making up 51.8% of the Oakdale Joint Unified School District's total enrollment.

Oakdale Joint Unified School District covers nine schools within Stanislaus County with its main office in Oakdale.

Among the nine schools in Oakdale Joint Unified School District, Oakdale High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,644 students in the 2022-23 school year.

In the last decade, enrollment in California elementary and secondary schools rose by at least 5%, while high school enrollment dropped 5%.

However, overall enrollment in California public schools is sliding, and the Public Policy Institute of California expects it to drop another 8% by the 2031-32 school year.
