Assemblymember Juan Alanis recently recognized Erica May Inacio as the Woman of the Year for the 22nd Assembly District. The announcement was made on the Assembly Floor in Sacramento, California.

“Erica Inacio is a valued community member,” stated Alanis. “Her dedication, work ethic, and unwavering commitment to public service have made a lasting impact, which is why I am proud to present her with this award.”

Erica May Inacio was born in Merced, California, and spent part of her childhood in Michoacan, Mexico before returning to California’s Central Valley at nine years old. She is a first-generation college graduate who has overcome many challenges to become a role model for women.

Since starting her career with Stanislaus County in 2002, Inacio has advanced in public service. She currently holds the position of Deputy Executive Officer at the Stanislaus County Chief Executive Office. Her responsibilities include leading key initiatives such as the Crows Landing Industrial Business Park Project and the Stanislaus 2030 Investment Blueprint. She also oversees housing projects, the Commercial Cannabis Program, and efforts promoting belonging and inclusion.

Inacio’s contributions have been recognized with several awards: Heroe Latina by Legacy Health Endowment, Citizen of the Year by Love Stanislaus, and Unsung Hero Award by El Concilio.

“I am truly inspired by Erica’s remarkable achievements and the determination she brings to every endeavor,” Alanis commented. “It is a privilege to present her with this award, and I have no doubts she will continue to make a great and positive impact on our community.”

Assemblymember Juan Alanis represents communities within the 22nd Assembly District including Modesto, Turlock, Ceres, Denair, Patterson, Gustine, Newman, Hilmar, Ballico, Snelling, Keyes, Grayson, Crows Landing, Diablo Grande, Stevinson & Empire.
